Profile The Principle & the Practice
James Armitage established his RIBA Chartered Practice in 2007, based in
Somerset, having previously worked within two highly acclaimed firms
in London. He has eighteen years experience within the field of
architecture. As a qualified Architect, he is registered with the Architects
Registration Board (ARB) and is a Chartered Member of the Royal
Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
He has experience in liaising with local Planning Authorities, understanding the social and political context within which designs are implemented, and leading consultancy teams.
James Armitage is a Professional Member of the Prince's Foundation for the Built Environment, a member of the Traditional Architecture Group (an RIBA linked society), the Georgian Group, and the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture & Urbanism (INTBAU).
