Working with the developer Leaper Land, we have just submitted a planning application for two new houses in Cressing, near Braintree. The site lies on the edge of the village and, with the aim of forming a transition between the settlement and the countryside, the houses draw inspiration from traditional Essex barns.

It was an absolute pleasure for James Armitage to once again be involved in the Create Streets Urban Design Summer School. Located in idyllic Sherborne, the school brought together 25 students from a variety of backgrounds and set them the task of creating meaningful places on one of two challenging sites within the town. We are delighted to announce that Planning Permission and Building Regulations approval have been granted for a new house situated within the National Landscape between Bath and Bradford on Avon. Construction work is about to commence shortly.

Construction work is now underway on our site in Horam, East Sussex. The project for Leaper Land comprises a set of cutom build houses with a small green at their heart. The houses draw inspiration from the vernacular architecture of the area. Customisation options include extensions, attic accommodation, wall and roof materials, bay windows and porches. Design work is underway for a site on the edge of Reydon in Suffolk. Our precedent studies included the nearby resort town of Southwold (above).

We have been asked to undertake a feasibility study for custom build houses on a small site in the delightful village of Child Okeford, Dorset.
