PERROTT HILL SCHOOL
NEAR CREWKERNE, SOMERSET
Perrott Hill School is a former manor house in North Perrott, Somerset, dating from 1877 and designed by the architect T.H. Wyatt. The main house draws on Elizabethan architecture and is Grade II* listed. It is set within extensive landscaped grounds with coach houses and numerous outbuildings.
We have been involved in a number of conservation and refurbishment projects in the school, all of which required Listed Building Consent and consultation with South Somerset's Conservation Officer. These included converting part of the grounds to an all-weather hockey pitch and tennis courts. Here we worked closely with an arboricultural consultant to ensure that the trees within the landscaped gardens were protected.
Other projects involved the refurbishment of a series of classrooms, the conversion of an outbuilding, and an extension to the cricket pavilion.
